Monologue and Scene Study
WITH ZACH THOMAS WOODS, ASHLEY JORDAN AND GRACE DEWOLFF
This is a seven-week class for serious actors looking to analyze your craft, promote good performance habits, refine your existing technique,and develop high quality artistic practices. Zach, Ashley and Grace will facilitate this 3 hour a week class where all students are encouraged to participate in giving and receiving specific, constructive feedback.
Class Dates & Costs:

MEET THE INSTRUCTORS
ZACH THOMAS WOODS
Zach Thomas Woods holds a BFA in acting from the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point. Currently he serves as the Manager of Artistic Direction at the Milwaukee County Zoo’s Kohl’s Wild Theater. KWT presents original TYA performances with an emphasis on environmental conservation to young people throughout southeastern Wisconsin. In the Milwaukee community Woods has served as a theater educator and director for nearly 10 years. Directing credits include Julius Caesar, Evita, Footloose, Death by Design, Arsenic and Old Lace, Moon Over Buffalo, and The Miss Firecracker Contest. As professional performer Woods has appeared at Skylight Music Theatre (The Full Monty, Les Miserables, Hair, Urinetown), Milwaukee Chamber Theatre (Great Expectations), Next Act Theatre (Red Herring, Laughter on the 23rd Floor) and First Stage (Big Fish, Holes, Spookley the Square Pumpkin, Anatole.) An award winning playwright, his original TYA scripts, Aldo Leopold and the Ghost of Sand County and Leona Lionheart Saves the World can often be seen touring the Milwaukee area. His latest show, ‘Neath the Hills of Bastogne, recently received a staged reading through Milwaukee Chamber Theatre’s Montgomery Davis Play Development Series and will be fully produced by Sunstone Studios in February.

Ashley is currently the Artistic Associate of Black Arts MKE. She has also served as a Lead In-House Program Coordinator at PEARLS for Teen Girls. She had the joy of being a Lead Teaching Artist and Recruitment Coordinator for Milwaukee Repertory Theater for the August Wilson Monologue Competition now known as Next Narrative Monologue Competition. She was also the Co-founder of Lights! Camera! Soul! where she produced and acted in The Colored Museum by George C. Wolfe while bridging the gap with the theater community at Alverno College and University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Ashley holds an Associate Degree from Milwaukee Area Technical College in Marketing Management and a B.A. in Leadership from Alverno College. She is a proud alum and owes all of her gratitude to the fine women and aunts in her life. She continues to create and promote theater to bring a powerful change and impactful conversations to the MKE community. Psalm 23.
Grace DeWolff is a Milwaukee actor, director, and theater educator honored to be working with Sunstone! Currently she's the Education Manager at Next Act Theatre.
